| The Foundation Goals | Established in 1988 in Chicago, Illinois by five of her grandchildren, the Ida B. Wells Memorial Foundation seeks to preserve and promote Wells' legacy of dedication to the principles of superior journalism, social justice, education, equality and integrity. The need to support and encourage such dedication is as strong today as it was in her lifetime. Ida B. Wells' wisdom, tenacity, and commitment serve as an example to inspire and rekindle the spirit of activism needed to address current social, political, and economic inequalities. www.idabwells.com |
