The Ida B. Wells-Barnett Museum

The Museum Location

The museum is located in the Spires Bolling/Gatewood House at the intersection of Randolph and Salem Avenues in Holly Springs, Mississippi.

The Museum Mission

The purpose of the museum is to inspire and enrich the lives of Mississippians, sharing with them the contributions of Africans And African Americans in the fields of history, art and culture in the United States and the world.
A variety of family heirlooms and artifacts of African American historic value comprise the museum collection.

Opening Hours

Monday - Friday    10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturdays    Noon to 5 p.m
Closed        Christmas, New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, Easter

Admissions - Donations

Adults - $3
Children - $2
    (under 12 must be accompanied by an adult)
